News — Update

I know that a number of you may have noticed that it's been taking me longer to ship orders and reply to emails. There's a reason for this, or actually multiple reasons. The first reason is obvious. Covid-19 has resulted suspensions and delays in the postal service, and has forced me to reship a ton returned items through surface mail. I'm still trying to catch up from that.

I wanted to share with you all a few important updates. Let's start with shipping. The good news is that the shipping restrictions from Japan Post have been lifted or partially lifted for a few countries. Unfortunately, due to worsening Covid-19 Pandemic, a number of countries, such as the U.S. can still only receive Surface Mail for the foreseeable future. Surface Mail, as you all know will take 2-3 months to deliver your orders. I will continue to use Surface Mail in countries where it is the only viable option, until Airmail is completely restored. Please keep checking back for updates....

Japan Post has suspended all forms of Airmail to a number of countries, including the United States. Please see the updated list here:

Right now, the only option for shipping to these countries is Surface Mail, which takes 2-3 months on average. For now, I will be relying on surface mail to ship out your orders. The waiting period will be long, but I figured it would be better than waiting an unspecified amount of time for the airmail services to be restored. I have a few updates in regards to my work progress and a number of international mail suspensions to various countries. First, Japan Post created an English translated list of all of the countries that have suspended the acceptance of international mail. First, let me apologize. I didn’t notice this until recently. Gundam Base doesn’t exactly make these updates obvious on their website. Gundam Base will be closed for the time being due to the current state of emergency in Tokyo. According to the government, the state of emergency will end in early May. At which point I expect GB to open again. I’ll be there on day one, picking up orders, so don’t worry. Your orders will be fulfilled.
