I was hoping that my next shipping update would be good news, but unfortunately that isn't the case. A few days ago, Japan Post suspended Surface Mail to Canada, due a shortage of shipping containers. Orders shipped to Canada before May 19th will not be affected by this recent suspension, so no need to worry there. Some unfortunate news. Airmail and EMS have been suspended for Canada. This Is particularly annoying because I had a large airmail shipment ready to go today, half of which was destined for Canada. I will be switching to Surface Mail, as I have been doing for the US and other countries with suspended airmail. Surface mail can take 2-3 months to deliver a package. There is also the option of Yamato Transport. I’ve been hesitant to offer it because it is a little more time consuming to prepare than Japan Post shipments. First, for people living in the US, airmail has kind of been restored, but there are a few catches. First, it’s only parcels below 2kg, good for a few average sized HGs or one average sized MG. The main catch is that there’s no insurance or tracking. On top of all of that, delays will still be expected. Honestly, I’m not going to use airmail for the US unless you guys request it. But, if anything it’s a good sign that things are heading in the right direction and that airmail and EMS might be back sooner rather than later....

Hello everyone. Just wanted to let  everyone know, I’m currently out of town on my honeymoon. Don’t worry, I’ll be back to work on Monday.

I also want to let you all know where things stand on the new shop. Right now, it’s basically a waiting period. I’m waiting on my new visa so that I can quit my day job and be legally allowed to be self-employed, and I’m waiting on the permit for my new shop to be approved so that I can officially use it as  my official business location. Hopefully, I’ll be able to start doing this...
